Harold Mabern and Eric Alexander, whose prolific collaboration is documented on many albums destined to become classics, are co-leading the centerpiece of our year-ending Coltrane Festival for the fifth year. JazzTimes says, “the rapport between Mabern and Alexander seems nearly telepathic.”

A renowned performer and living legend, George Coleman is a master improviser..and now is an NEA Jazz Master, too. Last year, Coleman released his first recording as a leader in 18 years, A Master Speaks, attesting to the fact that he is still making some of the most inspired music of his celebrated career. The Guardian called it proof that “he’s still one of the most fluent and inventive tenor saxophonists around.”
