Seating & Late Arrivals
Due to the size of the venue and performance schedule, we cannot guarantee a grace period for your reservation. You risk losing your place if you arrive later than your seating time.
Seating is based upon arrival, and is at the discretion of the management. Parties of one will be seated at the bar. Reservations at Smoke are good for one set only. Staying for more than one set is subject to availability and additional music charges and minimums may apply.
Please be sure to re-confirm all advance reservations by calling Smoke the day of your reservation. (Ticket holders do not need to re-confirm)
Smoke accepts reservations up to four weeks in advance. If you would like to book further in advance please visit the tickets page. You may purchase tickets for Friday and Saturday shows up to two months in advance by using the instantseats.com box office.

This all-star quintet led by the great drummer Al Foster celebrates the music (and the May 26th birthday) of the iconic jazz innovator Miles Davis. Foster was a close friend Miles and his longtime drummer throughout the 1970s and 80s. In his autobiography, Miles related that he hired Al because, “He could set up shit for everyone else to play off and could keep the groove going forever.” Foster also worked extensively with Sonny Rollins, Herbie Hancock, and Joe Henderson and he is joined here by a surefire lineup that includes trumpeter Nicholas Payton (Thursday, Friday, and Sunday), trumpeter Jeremy Pelt (Saturday), alto saxophonist Vincent Herring (Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday), tenor saxophonist Eric Alexander (Friday), pianist Larry Willis, bassist Ron Carter (Thursday), and bassist David Williams (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday).
